What are the specs on this guitar? Is it still basswood but with the tone block?

Thanks Dargin...alder it is.

I spend all day telling my customers "RTFM" (Read The * Manual), and failed to follow my own advice.

In that same thread

"This next batch of guitars is a special BFR run done for Musician's Friend & PRG. The model is an Axis Super Sport with a vintage tremolo. They feature a figured koa top, alder body, mahogany tone block & neck, and rosewood fretboard. There are three Natural vintage tremolo, and three Tobacco Burst hardtail pieces."

Nice, but I've gotta say this....I think a normal ASS with a good top is just as nice....like mine for example!! Given a choice (and assuming the BFRs are in the same price ball park as the other BFRs), I'd go for a standard ASS.
Nice choice to have though!!!

I had posted this in another thread that brought up the Koa

I called MF yesterday afternoon to check on availability and pricing and it was not on their system yet according to the woman I spoke with and her manager. They are not on the MF or PRG website either. The BFR Luke and PET were listed on the site.

Maybe Wayne (MFGuitarBuyer) can drop back in and let us know when their system will pick them up. :). His earlier posts indicated he would post a link when they were in.

The tops are cool, to me the real sexiness is in the alder body w/ mahogany toneblock and mahogany neck! That thing has to just sound *rich*!
