In the latest issue of GP, they have an article on some guitar playing contest they put on.

Luke was one of the judges (as was his son trev)

They had comments from the 10 or so finalists and just about all of them said one of the coolest things about the whole event was being able to hang with LUKE!

Guitar Player Mag event

Hey guys, sorry no post for awhile. With things as deep as they are in the world and just beein busy I havent had the time till now.

OK, lets lighten up a bit..
Yeah me and my kid Trevor were invited and we had a blast. GP has been very good to me over the years ahnd It was cool to be invited and they showed us all a great time. Some really great players as well, all really nice and I think THEY had a great time. We hung after the event I still hear from a few of them.
Satch and his wife and son were there and Joe is always a groove to hang with!
I love to hang so look out this weekend. hahaha I may bring Trev with me for the bash as he digs all the players on the gig. I am still trying to figure out what to play. Probably something easy as Morse and 'Trucci will no doubt be in full shred mode. Cant wait to dig it myself. Sterling will no doubt show us the party of the year. I am gonna buy some Depends so I dont sh*t myself while I am sleeping. hahahahahaha Too much great food and booze at my age can lead to a disturbing anal froth. hahahahahaha
KIDDING!
Anyway, dig y'all soon and those that cant make it, hope to see ya soon out there somwehere next year anyway.
Peace
Lucious

Should we reserve a stall at the SLO country club for Lucious? Those adult undergarments only hold so much...

I suspect our playing will make him laugh so hard he'll reach capacity and hit 'critical mass' in no time at all..

I was at this event, and my friend Dominic Frasca won! Dominic is an amazing player and many people were moved by his performance. He doesn't play electric guitar at all. We both studied guitar at the University of Akron under Stephen Aron. Dominic was there a few years before me. Neil Zaza was also a colleague of mine. There have been many great players to go through the program over the years, and Stephen is an awesome teacher. I got my picture with Satriani that evening, but my friend still has the pic.
