Finally made the decision to get the L3 HSS. I was considering black, but then I saw a vintage sunburst was available. But then I saw the pic of the L3 and really liked the finish without a pick guard. It was a stock pic so I don't know what it looks like in person. If anyone owns one with the sunburst finish, I'd like your feedback. All opinions are welcome.
Thanks

Hey jff, I don't own a sunburst Luke III, but you did say all opinions are welcome. :D I think you'll be very happy with the sunburst. I've owned a couple honey burst ebmms, and I thought they looked great. Here's my old Axis so you get an idea of just how well they do the burst finishes...

Thanks, I no longer own that one. The seller is a forum brother here and he asked to buy it back from me, so I sold it back to him.

Whoever is doing the sunburst spraying does an excellent job. The back of my Luke II Koa's neck is sunburst and it looks fabulous. And, the Luke III is so comfortable and easy to play. You'll be satisfied. Good luck!

I've always dug the vintage sunburst look, although I've never owned a guitar with it. I think it looks pretty great on the LIIIs. You can check out what the LIII looks like in vintage sunburst by going to the GC Platinum site (they should still have some in stock) and/or on eBay (they usually have some, as well).
