while scouring the net and hoping against hope to discover an older model sparkly jp6, i ran across an ad on craigslist (houston) which was for a jp6 in "lake tahoe blue". the listing had expired so there was no pic to see. I have never heard of this color, and my guess is that is was actually carbon blue pearl or something. but out of curiosity, does anyone know if "lake tahoe blue" actually was an available color at one time? i didnt see it listed on ernie1966's petcollection page...

I had one. Seemed really close to Lake Placid Blue. It looked good on my JP6

They never offered a JP in Tahoe Blue. Sounds like the GC Special they had a while back, it was a kind of light blue sparkle'ish.

MAN that is one beautiful blue. I like the Turqoise Pearl over the Lake Tahoe Blue.

That blue guitar pic has the standard JP6 body, but the BFR 12th fret inlay... I thought that inlay would appear only on BFR models... am I wrong?

Since it was a special/rare color + roasted, it was considered BFR. Even though it is otherwise a JP6 and not a BFR.

love the Tahoe Blue (aka Lake Placid Blue). Turquoise Pearl looks a little too "glittery" for me...but it's good all guitars aren't the same and those sparkly guitars have their enthusiasts.

The Sky Blue on the JP is classy...one of the few colors I think looks good without a pickguard.
