of the 30th sr4 i have, only one has a one piece body. the only way to see the difference is to look at the direction of the wood fibre at the rear strap button.

i still cant notice any difference in performance of them, so the one piece is purely for satisfaction of the mind.
this bass has a one piece body. that means it is special, which again reflects on the owner ;)
i love the quirky human mind :)

A trick that I and most other wood workers use is that you reverse the grain on the pieces of wood that you are gluing together. this further ensures that warping will less likely happen! Of course this makes it a little harder when trying to match similar grains, but makes for a stronger piece. And John was absolutely right, biscuits really lock a piece together........
