OK so no laughing now from those of you with a gazillion guitars, but today I realised that I needed to label the outside of my (5) EBMM cases as I can no longer tell which is which just by looking at the scratches and marks etc.

I feel this is a landmark moment, truly marking my arrival into the land of 'somebody-who-now-has-more-guitars-than-he-could-possibly-need'.

Please let me know if this is nerdy behaviour and I will stop it at once.:D

thats funny! I never use my EB cases, dont have enough room for them anyway. though i am going to keep my Y2D in its case for a while.

man i've gone way past the "need" for guitars years ago, its pure "want" for me now!

ps give us the ashes back.....

Funny I did this same thing about 3 months ago. I kept getting confused which guitar was in which case. :)

No fella

That is GOOD WORK and is to be lauded and applauded.

I think you should give yourself a little treat at this point.

I'm thinking maybe a cheeky 24fret Silo ?

I myself am currently only sporting the 2 G&C cases and they're diff colours so only limited potential for confusion.

However my friend Darren in America has taken delivery of the Purple Silo Spec from Wolfbone and that pleasingly has a black G&C case also !

I'm certainly hoping that my wife will not notice the subtle insertion of another ball into my collection.

Mind you I'm after the MM90 equipped Axis Sport that I sold to my Bassist. Although I should maybe look at repaying my credit card/loans/mum first ?

It doesn't stop does it ?

David,

When I got up to 20 guitars or so, I started to put hang tags on the cases. Written on each is the serail # and a decription of the guitar inside. That should solve your problem nicely.

Unfortunately I only have one EBMM to try to confuse with everything else:( No matter how much I try I always recognise it!:D

Despite this however - I am grateful for all the gear I've got:cool:

Yeah, I have seen it.....there is a morgue in Jersey short of toe tags! Awesome sight to behold....the guitars, not the morgue....;)

Ha! Toe-tags are what I think when I see them all haging off the cases.

I had to do a similar thing. Check out my avatar. I used masking tape to label the top ends (when standing up).

Dr. Bob, nice to hear that the silo go to your "mule". Enjoy!

I think you should leave them unlabled so this way when you want to find one you can have a little easter egg hunt...................

So a major advantage of having a gazillion cased guitars is that your other half no longer notices the odd ball or 3 being added to the collection?!

I am seeing an additional benefit to having loads of guitars!:D

I could always say I was a case collector!:p

Man - no that would be like a fetish or something!

Who wants to smell my guitar case?:D

I always use the same case when I gig. Its an SKB and has tools and strings in it. Whatever is going to be #1 for the gig that night goes in that case. As a result all the guitars get mixed up in various cases. I can never find the axe I want!

A mate of mine did a similar thing

He had 3 SKB cases in his music room and he would buy guitars like mad but put them in these 3 identical cases. His SO only ever saw the three identical cases (with whatever guitar-candy he had bought inside) - and not not notice the everchanging case stash in the loft!!

Dave

P.S. I have MANY EBMM cases and have no idea whats in them!

1st test starts on my birthday too, lets hope a pommie quick will do his knee like Jones last time on the 1st day 1st test in brissie.....OUCH!!!!

now we're off topic good and proper!!!

Aww that hurt - Jonesy is a good Welsh lad and has had a lot of injury problems ever
since his accident. His old man played for Glamorgan too - also a great quickie!!

All of a sudden "Spin" seems de rigeur with England at the moment.

Sorry but on topic - all my cases are different but alas I only have one ball !
