I'm curious about the whole NOS thing....so are there just a bunch of hidden gems out there just sitting in their cases on a shelf, waiting for someone to buy them?

Thanks for the well-wishes and cool responses. This is indeed one fine instrument! As far as NOS goes, I believe many people, especially in 1995 due to the last year of production, bought these guitars purely as investment guitars/collector pieces. They stored them away and didn't play them and every now and then decide to sell them if they think the market is right or if they need the money at that point in time. This one even has the plastic still on the back plates and the original strings! You can get so into the whole collectors mentality and say the earlier models are more desireable in this condition etc...but I didn't want this as a museum piece. This would have been the guitar color and year I would have bought back in 1996, so I am stoked. It's almost as if I traveled back in time and corrected things. Ha Ha!
