Was that repainted? or did EB really offer that color at one point?

Yes, that was an EB finish for a while a few years back. My local music store had a StingRay 5 in that color. You have to be really secure to play that bass if you know what I mean.

I bought the bass & it looks a lot better than the pictures plus I got rid of the ugly pickguard. It actually looks copper under certain lights. Everybody who's seen it so far has liked it. It is really an odd looking color. And I'm "secure" enough, & NOT a woman, to play it out live either.

I figured I would throw up a pic of my other Sterling as well.
I took the black pickguard from the blue bass & put it on the lavender. The blue pearl has a chrome mirror pickguard on it. They are both 2000 models.

It certainly does look a whole lot better with the black p/g. :cool:
