Hi boys and girls!

I´m leaving the Volvo test track i Phoenix Az for this season.
It´s been 2,5 sweaty weeks.

But i´m not leaving alone.

Well packed in a hardcase with bubble wrap and a self made cardboard box is no: F08348 Egyptian Smoke HS 4-string Bongo :D
Bought from the nice people at The Bassplace

I´m hoping for a safe journey home an that the nice "gentlemen" at the airport will treat her with respect

I´ll get back and write the story from a -> z

Awesome bass - beautiful! Safe trip back and looking forward to the "extended" review (aka gushing). :)

Sweden to Phoenix, must of been a shock.

Did you get to find out how much salt you lose in a day by wearing dark clothes and watch them turn white? :D

Have a safe trip. May your bass have a safe trip. I did not know a Volvo needed testing.

Take care and enjoy

Just promise you won't play any Günther songs on that BonGo when you get it back to Göteborg!!! :D

Thanks for visiting! I've seen that bass on the bassplace's website for a while now!

Alas, another store that I never make it to in order to check out their inventory. However, I did get my SR from them via ebay!

Dude,

You even live over on that side of town and have never made it to The Bass Place?? It's a great shop with fairly large inventory and Lee is cool guy.

My favorite

Thats a beautiful finish for a bongo. My SR5 is egyptian smoke, and I always get compliments on it....women think its sexy..even at church.

Oh, I've been there numerous times, I just haven't made it in for quite some time (since I got my SR, actually).

I saw one of the guys (dennis?) play at the rustler's rooste when we were there playing the Sandusky radio (KUPD, KDKB,KSLX) xmas party.

Hi and thanks for all the kind words! :o

Well im safe back home after a 21 hour journey. And yes, quite jet lagged.
There is a 9 hour time difference and it takes it tolls.

We flew from Phoenix to Denver then the jump over to Frankurt and at last home to Gothenburg. That means 3 reloadings of a precious bass. But we all came home smiling.
After all the greetings from my soon to be wife and unloading of bags. I got to work on the Bongo. Lemon oiled the neck and let it soak. Then restrung it with DR Lo Riders :). Aw man im happy!

Well it´s time for dinner!

Get back later!!!

Cheers!

Henrik

Glad to hear you made it safe and sound. Have fun with the bass the girl and the meal.

Henrik,

I feel for you, brother!

I was coming back from a business trip to Reno, Nevada once, and they cancelled our flight out of Reno.

I ended up flying from Reno to Oakland, California. Changed planes and flew from Oakland to Los Angeles. Changed planes and flew from LA to Charlotte, North Carolina, where I changed planes and flew from Charlotte back to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Worst part was that I had a terrible hangover and all that flying didn't help.
