Hi there, first post here.
Do left-handed JP's have lefty taper pots?
Most manufacturers that offer left-handed guitars either use right-handed pots wired lefty (which makes the volume and the tone unusable) or wired them 'the right way' but then you have to turn the pots in the opposite direction (ex. Gibson - Carvin). The latter solution is much better than the former but lefty pots are ideal to me.

I don't think there a such thing as a lefty pot. The taper depends on which way you wire the pot.

Technically there are lefty pots. Although the same resistance values can be had on regular & reverse taper, they occur in different places. I've ordered replacements from EB (for a JP) before...

Yes there is.
As PeteDuBaldo said logarithmic pots can be found with a reverse taper.
I get mine there:
CTS Left Handed 500K Pot | Allparts.com
CTS Left Handed 250K Audio Pot | Allparts.com
They're not super high quality but it's better than nothing.
If you just swap the outside lugs of a 'regular' audio pot the taper will be all screwed up and unusable.Fender does that on all their US strats/teles.
It's pity right-handed people ignore the diificulties we, left-handed people, have to go through when trying to find a decent electric guitar.
So, I guess lefty JP's are equipped with the same pots used for the right-handed ones:confused:

Rather than guess, why don't you shoot the customer service guys a note? I'm sure they know the answer.

Sorry, I didn't know it'd be such a big deal to inquire about that here.
Being part of a minority I prefer to have other lefties' opinions and it doesn't hurt to have the info posted on a forum, maybe other lefties would also be interested in the answer.
Anyway, I will soon know since I should be receiving a JP sometime next week :)

Hey, it's no big deal and totally the kind of thing you should ask here. Just sayin', since lots of people have viewed the thread and nobody's answered, probably none of us really know.
