I posted this in the string section but haven't received a response. My question is, will cobalt flats be long enough for a 35 inch scale string thru bass.

give cs a call and inquire about wound length area. then measure the string you have today to see if there is enough to cross over the nut (and preferably with a little clearance after it as well :) )

The D string on a new set of Cobalt flats (2816) I have is ~48.5" long out of the package. There's about 11.5" of wrap material on the peg end and about 1" of wrap material on the bridge end.

I called CS and they said there is 37 inch wound length and that they will work. They also mentioned not to cut them, just insert and wind.

Are there cobalt flats now???? I thought there were just cobalt slinkys?

I was in guitar center yesterday and they had 4 string sets.
