length of cobalt flats

I posted this in the string section but haven't received a response. My question is, will cobalt flats be long enough for a 35 inch scale string thru bass.

give cs a call and inquire about wound length area. then measure the string you have today to see if there is enough to cross over the nut (and preferably with a little clearance after it as well )

The D string on a new set of Cobalt flats (2816) I have is ~48.5" long out of the package. There's about 11.5" of wrap material on the peg end and about 1" of wrap material on the bridge end.

I called CS and they said there is 37 inch wound length and that they will work. They also mentioned not to cut them, just insert and wind.
