I saw the sparkles thread, and thought the guitars looked very nice. I was confused however; about the thing that seems to be replacing the nut on the sparkley AL guitar. It's the thing that says "PAIGE" on it. What the hell is it?

I've seen this in action once before and really have no idea what it is. Thanks for the answers in advance as I know somone will give me what I am looking for. This forum is great for this kind of thing.

:D

I hope the direct image posting thing worked! Can someone also tell me how to directly post images into my threads/ I feel so e-tarded asking.

It's a capo, and it's just sitting above the nut, not replacing it. You can also see one in the Mitch Merret (sp?) video posted the other day.

hahaha Sorry dude its a Paige Capo i just keep it there for convienience and i use it with the AL in my country Band to give the 2 guitars a very different sound...My lead player will play it open and i will put the Capo on and play in a different octave ,adds a little flavor and thickness to our sound

Oh!

Yeah, I did see it in the Mitch Merrett video. I just didn't realize so many people kept the capo over their nut. That's a safe thing to do? It would make a lot of sense to have it there for such easy access all the time as well. Thanks for the responses guys.

well reason i switched to the Paige is because the Keyser and the Dunlop have WAY TOO MUCH tension in the springs and they were leaving an impression on the mahog neck of my Takamine ...the Paige is Adjustable with tension so it makes for a great quick transition from the nut to wherever on the fret board also i only use enough pressure so it stays on the nut so no damage will occur
