Ok, guys, lets keep little voting hour for most hardest guitar piece forever. You can vote 1-3 of them.
Note: Meaning about this vote is to make kind of chart about most difficult songs & change idea´s and opinions.
My vote:
Steve Vai - "Kill the guy with the ball"
Al Di Meola - "Etude"
Stevie Ray Vaughan - "Little Wing"

"Tumeni Notes" - Steve Morse. The sheer speed and accuracy. I've been working on it for years, and I can get it up to about half speed before I lose it.

Albert Lee - Country boy.
There again any Albert Lee/Danny Gatton song!

One that I am VERY proud of nailing is a "slide" number by Sonny Landreth called Native Stepson. He plays in a unique style whereby he frets behind the slide - well, I
nailed it !!

I agree with Tumeni Notes, but also I wonder what it must be like to play Universal Mind by Liquid Tension. Of course it's Petrucci so it must be relatively hard, hehehe.

That's easy. Anything with NOTATION instead of TAB!!!!

For me, I had a really hard time with the fast part on The Happy Couple by Michael Hedges. It's just faster than my porky fingers could handle. Jommi, I can't imagine sitting down and trying to learn Kill The Guy With The Ball. You have way more patience than I do. My hat is off to you.

Thankfully, whether a song is good or not has absolutely NOTHING to do with the difficulty. If it did, I would have stopped writing years ago. :D

im not so good at guitar. i can improv randoms tuff that sounds good but lose it somewher ein the middle cuz i never know what im really doing and w/o any theory behind it i eventually get myself into a sour section.

essentially anything outside of my comfort zone of punk rock and basic metallica/slayer like metal is hard for me to play

Oh yeah? - I'd love to see him play live.
I just love his stuff with John Hiatt - now there's a guitarist who should play a ball!!

I can play Son of Native Stepson too ! - but that's cheating , cos it's just an acoustic version of Native Stepson!!

I agree Spudmurphy, John Hiatt is the ticket!! He DEFINITELY should play a Ball.

Well, i have to admit, that if i have something, i have tough head: If i dont know how to play something, i sit down and learn it no matter how long it takes. Kill the Guy was really hard to learn, i was training it about 40 hours just that song, until i realized how it has to be done. And its still difficult.
