Oh, I do, I do! Please read the post before you slap me around any more. I'm not the only one who mentioned other colors, but it seems I'm the only one who deserves abuse for doing so. Guess I look like a pinata, or something.

:D

Logan Green? Cool. Just not for me. Having it happen in the first place? Priceless!

Everyone is being too rough on you. :(

This man means no harm.

Simply put fellas/ladies.....this is again a showing of how gracious and super cool Big Poppa is........even though I do not like green in any form, I still think this is AWESOME!

Let Big Poppa and Dargie work their magic for you......it will be great....I am sure of it.....

Again, I regretfully must pass on the green color....but, EBMM never ceases to amaze me....

Funny how this went from making fun of Dargie's bass to making Dargie's bass......

Indeedy do...this development is what makes BP such a unique guy.

I've been in the marketing business for a long time, and have worked for guys in BP's position who have run similarly iconic companies (in other industries, of course). His attitude is unique in my experience, and is something I really appreciate.

Most of these guys are highly focused on the business as they should be, and may even have the right idea about innovation and the importance of customer service and customer input...but in my experience NOBODY has taken the time to pay personal attention to the devoted fan/lunatic fringe the way BP has.

That's the difference between a good company and a great company. BP "gets it" in a big way. He obviously knows that his customers can get passionate about the product, and he pays attention to that instead of dismissing or ignoring it. We may have nutty ideas, but we're worth listening to...BP understands that.

What he's doing is creating disciples. Based on my experience with the product and my interactions here on the board, I've become a lifetime customer. I'll bet many of you have, too.

Think about it...if you're reading this post, chances are very good that you're a hard-core, devoted EBMM fan. There is no better sales tool than a devoted evangelista. Steve Jobs proved that.

BP's attitude is something that I value highly as a consumer, and is reason for me to give him my future business in and of itself. This is one hell of a company.

Amen.

Part of me wants to collect ebmms from the 90's, with birdseye necks. The only thing that is slightly saddening about that is that I wouldnt technically be giving BP any business, since Id be buying them second hand.

Then again, I would be giving them a good home?

Oh well, ive got a few years to decide ;)

Most excellent post, AD.

Now about Ben, like all of us, he is weak and he apparently fell under the spell of a certain SR5 HH.

I can understand this.

He had really come to his senses by the time he called me, I believe.

Sorry, I didn't mean to seem like I was picking on you or that I thought you were out of line. I was just answering your question with how I felt.

This is having the opposite effect on me. I'm looking at some old basses I bought used and thinking "Hmm, how much can I get for that?"

As someone who has administered now three limited edition runs I have to say that this is not uncommon BP.

I still think the color is ugly as my ass pimples but I want one!!!

I think this is the coolest thing, think about it you just finished a set an some lady's ask ooh what color is that you reply " Ugly Ass Pimple Green" the look on there face after saying that is worth the price of the bass alone :D

Now if BP could make a "Pimple juice Creme Yellow" we would have the Ultimate poor hygiene custom colors  Still can't wait !!!
