Went to a mutual friend's studio over the weekend to chew the fat, and what do I see on the wall, a beat up black Bongo 4 H. I played this guy for the better part of an hour, what a tone! Not quite the massiveness of the HH, nor the added nuances and spunkiness of the HS, it was just there; well defined and powerful. Set it (flat) and forget it! So I made him an offer
It was declined, unfortunately...a guitarist who loves bongos, whowouldathunkit.
After owning several Bongos, I have never owned a single H. I have to get me a fiver. I kinda dig a beat up one, too.
