Can somebody give me a list of light blue colors used for Music Man basses?

Unfortunately most resellers these days only have low-res pictures that don't allow you to tell even as much as whether it is metallic or not.

Specifically:
- I see new SR classics with maple neck and a light metallic blue - what is that called?
- what is sky blue? Metallic? Any pics?
- what is powder blue? Metallic? Any pics?

While I am at it, did MM even make Bongos in light metallic blue and birdseye maple fretboard neck? Can I custom order one?

Then whatever color you're looking at isn't a recent production bass. Try looking in the thread in this forum regarding "colors". It's also difficult to tell what color you are looking at or thinking of.

You need to look in this thread for old colours.

http://forums.ernieball.com/music-m...ernie-ball-music-man-bass-finishes-guide.html

The colours on the Classic Stingrays have been changed over time. Powder blue was one of the colours on them for the first year or so of production. Mint green, powder blue, coral red were three pastel colours available for that period - when introduced it was said there would be a regular colour rotation for the Classic series, and this has generally happened for certain finishes.

The metallic light blue you've seen on them is probably called lake tahoe blue, and is now discontinued (I think) and replaced by diego blue - a solid light blue.

Sky blue is currently available on basses (not Classic series or Reflex) and is a very bright blue colour.

The only Bongos which have been released for general purchase without the standard painted finish/rosewood board have been the 2012 PDN limited edition (roasted birds eye maple), the black sugar limited edition (also birds eye roasted maple). Not sure but I think Ball Family Reserve all rosewood neck was available on the Bongo for a short period. Unless you can find stock items at dealers, AFAIK the only Bongos currently available are standard neck finish (painted/rosewood board or fretless pau ferro), and the standard solid colours shown on the Musicman site.

I hope this helps - you can probably search threads on this forum for details of all these limited edition basses and discussion/listing of new colours/deletion of old ones of production models over the last 10 yrs or so, and the subject seems to generate a lot of discussion at times.
