Like Ebony, 2-Band, String-Thru? :)

Thank you all again for the bass compliments. It is quite impressive. I changed the pickguard yesterday for a different look.

How does the ebony fretboard work on this Ray, sound-wise?
Curious because the limited editions roasted maples will have the ebony as well.

I haven't played it enough to give a detailed opinion, but I think the ebony is fantastic. I recently had an ebony Stealth as well. Great fingerboards. You are going to be very pleased.

A GC in Texas. I'm not sure they even knew how Classy the bass really is, but they sure were helpful.

I just returned one of these basses YESTERDAY to Guitar Center Springfield New Jersey.

I had it shipped from GC TN; told it was new in box but it arrived in GC floor condition.

So if you want it, ask them to fix/file fret ends, the treble pot, and the G tuner. It would be real nice if they could polish or at least wipe down gear described/sold as new, the plastic was also off the pick guard and there were heavy scratches. Otherwise a decent bass - it weighed 9lbs 8ozs

Good news is there are a few still out there - I recently got a used one in oustanding shape and a featherweight @ 8lbs 6 oz.
