Nice color, I suppose, and I'm all for cool new options - especially if they're limited - but I can't help wondering... why only one color?

Personally, I think the headstock and gold lettering and special neck plate are cool, but we should have a choice of three or four distinctive "candy" colors besides the Red - like a Canary Yellow and a Powder Blue and maybe a SeaFoam Green as well... and tho' I love matching headstocks, especially with funky colors, I'm not big on 'black' headstocks - I myself prefer natural ones, actually... oh well, you can't please all of the people...

and I still think a 20th Anniversary Silhouette would be way cool... (but lets not put a black headstock on it, 'kay?) :)

Jimi D, yah other color choices would be nice, but if that's all they offer such is life.

I'd like to see more onthem though.

I wonder what the 20th anniversary Silhouette will be?? Anybody have any ideas??

Great idea, I'll be skipping this color combo though. I wonder if the color is available without the painted headstock?

What Fender color is that closest to? CAR?

Kinda wonder what they're refering to when they say "these particular upgrades normally cost $250." I'm guessing they're referring to a painted headstock and pearl pickguard?

Do we think they are ever going to get the hint??????

Scotty,

I would think that EB/MM reads this site on a regular basis. I mean that since we are all owners of their fine instruments that they might want to know what we think of them.

You never know they may start listening to the subscribers of this forum and may even ask for opinions. It's all up to EB/MM.

Yeah, G+L and Fender have already done that.

I personally applaud EB for doing this. Derek said something like this was up their sleeve last year, and they did it. It's not surprising that one color combo won't please everyone.

I personally can't deal with the black headstock....would rather see something like a custom color, plus a commemorative something on the back of the headstock.

I think that the idea's great.

But personally, I'm not a fan of matching headstocks.

I'd have to see it up close to make any comments on whether or not it would look better on the front or back.

Just my $.02 worth.

Yup...Dean and Mcinturff have done it as well. I'd love a LE EBMM axe!

Of course, we the Forum Members would have to actually come to some kind of concensus about what model we would want, in what finish, with what features, etc... That would be an interesting process to watch... ;)

...but I still want a 20th Anniversary Silhouette!!

For the 20th

Let's do this for the Silo 20 anniv model
Stunning Quilt Top in Natrual (Like the Sting Ray anniv)
Flame maple neck and fret board (Like the PRS SAS model)
No Pickguard (Why put a post it note on an oil painting)
EMG Pickups (Bridge to Neck 81, SA, 89)
Either leave the bridge options open (Hard tail, piezo, trem...)
or say they all have the piezo trem

Sounds good to me...

I personally don't like figured wood on guitars, but I'll hold off placing a vote until there's an AL anniversary model vote...

What about a flame top Silhouette, no pick guard, plain head stock, flame neck, rosewood neck, bound neck and body (or just neck not sure), HSH or SSS hand wound pickups, trm/peizo option, fat frets, Ltd Ed marking on the neck plate and head stock, Flight case with a velvet lining and perhaps something cool inbeded at the 12th fret "20 years" or "EB"

Come On EB You Can Do It

We should seriously come up with a bunch of options, take a poll amongst forum members and submit the results to EBMM.
