I love alder bodied guitars. I'd like to see an Axis with an alder body.

Forget about figured woods on a Pet. Too expensive, although I'd love a flame maple in Tiger Eye stain.

How about a gold-top Petrucci?

Pink. Hot pink. :p

Seriously...I'd like to see something on the lines of BD, but in a form of red. That would tear the walls down, IMO...

I think chrome plating is a bad idea. That should be for a display guitar not one you should play. When Satch played his chrome guitar here last he kept getting shocked when ever he touched the microphone.

What Norm said. Also, I played that Steve Stevens chrome guitar. You think a Les Paul is heavy? And It sounded like a chrome guitar.

I don't know if you can tell me this, but what can you do to the artist models under contract? Could there be a Steve Morse or petrucci model with a maple fretboard?

After rereading the entire post it seems to me that no one is really interested in color schemes and everyone wants the different woods on their guitar tops. The Axis, which is not an artist model already has that feature. Other artists models would require consent from the respective artists to make the changes. (Hey! Guitar model X endorsee, can we change your design?) If you want to do a limited run of an artist model guitar, perhaps you might consider doing something with the artist themselves. Maybe something like have Steve Morse personally autograph the guitar to the buyer under the finish.
So for changing the wood, that leaves us with only the Silhouettes. (Darn, My personal favorite guitar.) OK tops for silos. Quilt, flame, spalted, lace wood, birdseye. Are photo finishes or veneers really that bad? Find some flame maple for the necks to complement them as well.

Maybe commission a cool airbrush artist to do unique one of a kind guitars. I know no one has a Blue Dawn piezo trem Silo with EMG split coil pickups, Steve Morse style switching system, abalone pickguard with matching control knobs. The fact that my guitar is one of a kind is one of the features that I love about it. I know this is all bordering on custom but it seems to be what your repeat customers want for limited runs.

I already have eight EBMM guitars. I don't want another color. I want you to do something that will blow my socks off and show me somthing I can't live without. Perhaps this would appeal more to first time EBMM buyers but that might require advertising. Ernie Ball Music Man. Finally a guitar as unique as you are. (Uh, I’ll have one in Vanilla.)

Maybe a "buy one, get one free offer".

Seriously though...Maybe it's just me, but I think a little more on the marketing and availability side will go a longer way than any Limited edition.

We should probably have a meeting ;)

I' d like to see a 0" radius neck...

that's the only thing I miss ...a lot of people asked me " what about a signature model?" and after telling them that of course I'm nobody in music industrie compares to lucious or petrucci and all the MM stars, and that I could not have no better ideas that the actual line of MM guitars, this fantasm came to me...

a silo spec 0" radius...available in HSS, SSS, hardtail, maple neck only...maple top...

ok.

it's time to wake up tristan...:p

A re-issue of all of the recent LTD's....... minus the Gold !?
(reminds me too much of hip-hop vids)

Dark Stained Flamed / Quilted Maple on as many models as possible WITH
SATIN or brushed Platinum / Silver finish hardware or something similar ?

Think I've been here before, but maybe persistence will pay off !:D

Hey Dargin,

I remember seeing a Vans shoes Axis that had red binding and red inlays on black. It was really sleek. I'd like to see an Axis with purple or green binding/dots/zebra pickups, etc. That would be an interesting model on either black OR white. On the black, an ebony fretboard would add even more just to keep things totally black. Black hardware too.

And while you're asking, call it the Danny Special! You guys are the BEST.

danny

p.s. leave off the vans logo.
