Ok I'm looking at either the DM4 (distortion modeller) or the ToneCore line like the Uber Metal, Crunchtone or Constrictor...thanks!
Yeah, that pedal has been pooping up lately, thanks I will check it out. Any thoughts on the Marshall Guv'nor?sgmarshall3 said:Depending on how distorted your amp gets, the Zakk Wylde overdrive might be the answer. It's very hot, and adds a nice fatness to your tone. I love mine. You might want to check out the reviews on harmony-central.com
I here DOD aren't very durable...is this true?phatduckk said:kinda off topic (sorry)
i use an old DOD Metal X as my main distortion pedal. that's one dope pedal ... i think its discontinued

You've got the cool OD side and the extreme distortion side plus the fact that you can run them together for meltdown. I think it's really good value for money (2 in 1), it is well built and is keenly priced.

Subtle Overdrive to Blistering Gain... And that is just the conservative channel. Engage Channel Two and you step into the preliminary understandings of chaos... Imagine standing between two mirrors and pondering the infinite reflections of yourself. Um.. What the heck does this got to do with stompboxes? Well to some it up Channel Two re-amplifies, re-distorts, then re-amplifies and re-distorts the signal from Channel One over and over again. The result is an incredibly interactive and never-before-experienced sound.

I can't speak for their whole line, but I had a few DOD pedals for many, many years and they held up just fine. I think I had their yellow distortion (FX-something?) pedal for at least a decade, probably longer.
I still have a bass chorus pedal from DOD that has been around for 15 years or more, and it's in working condition.
