Lined fretless question

A question for the EBMM staff - I was curious what the material is that is used in lined fretlesses. Also, I was wondering if it was an option to line them in black (shadow lines) - my old fretless had them an it was awsome... I could see what I was doing and anyone over 3 feet away had no clue they were there. Curious (thinking about a new Bongo ).
