Even in small rooms they still always mic my amp and throw a few more around for the drums, I dont use a huge amp, either a marshall jtm 30 or class 5, the amps sound great, i just wish some of the house speakers did, crappy old no name PA speakers that make it sound all rumbley and crummy, sometimes I luck out with a venue that has decent stuff and a smart guy, and we sound great, Havent played out in a long time, I miss it.
