Loaded JP unavailability

Hey guys, just got my new JP6 pearl redburst loaded minus the inlays shipped in last month, and I was wondering why the f**k don't mainstream music retailer websites like musiciansfriend.com and music123.com don't sell the JP with any options whatsoever.

You don't have the option of a piezo, matching headstock, or inlays on the site and it's only available in 3 colors (blue, redburst and mystic dream). EBMM shoud consider supplying these guys the loaded version of the JP, because now my friends all want one after they've seen mine, but the dealer I got mine from only has a limited number in stock and we don't have ANY guitar stores here, so our only option is to get it shipped in online.

EBMM JP is now officialy in Egypt!

first off even if they did they cant sell to egypt...believe me we would love more options available but it is a numbers game and we dont generate the sales velocity for these super big internet dealers for us to generate enough return revenue.....

BP, that sounds like a possible marketing objective for some college student's marketing plan. doesn't it?

Marketing Objective: Increase sales velocity among Internet dealers by ?% in order to increase available options and colors carried by the dealers.


Something like that if kept realistic.

I'd just appreciate a JP7 available through any online stores.... the only ones I've seen so far are 6's...

This is fundamental economics. If there were a demand for fully loaded JPs online, someone would be supplying them. Most guitarists want to play an instrument before dropping 2K+ on it, so typically demand for these guitars over the internet is low. That's why MusiciansFriend and other online retailers don't tie up a lot of capital that then sits on a shelf in a warehouse waiting, in most cases a long time, for someone to buy it.

I will say, it's getting better. EBMM is getting more well known each day from what I can tell. In the past week I've told three people about them

Ultimately I believe that it's more up to the dealer/retailer on what they decide to carry.

The internet retailers are about volume and moving product. They focus on the more "generic" items and keep their inventory cost and the consumers prices down by not taking the additional features such matching headstocks, inlays etc. Their typical customer profile who want near instant gratification by having their new guitar delievered in the next week and typically who want the best deal possible.

Whereas if you want to add more features or options then you need to be prepared to special order through a local or regional dealer. You'll most likely pay more and wait a while but you'll get the guitar with all your specs.

Some retail shops will carry the ones with all the bells and whistles as well, but I think you'll find them a lot harder to find as well.

If you don't see one you like, you can order from these guys: Welcome to the new DuBaldo Music Center website! They are probably the best dealers to order from IMHO.

Of course, as Big Poppa said, none of these dealers can ship new EBMMs to Egypt. I'm assuming you have some other way to get these guitars from these dealers. There are a lot of dealers that people here have dealt with. The ones I posted above are ones from whom people here seem to have bought from in the past. Generally, there have been no problems.

OK the biggest problem is our production wany studyby students must understand that we cannot grow too much more and are backordered by design

THe scool of thought with MF used to be they only bought the wierd stuff and they were sucessful...different regimes have diffeerent philosophies and right now they are in the fastest velocity sku mode

I for one, really like the business model at EBMM. It ensures absolute quality, great one on one customer service, and not every guitarist I run into has a guitar exactly like mine.

My brother-in-law plays Fenders. He plays them blindly without regard to quality. I don't understand it, but he won't even consider trying something else. He has a very expensive custom shop instrument, and it feels cheap and plays like crap, as does every other Fender I've played in the last 15 years.

Music Man offers us something different. We know that when we order a guitar, it will come to us perfect in every way and it will play flawlessly and if for some reason it doesn't, it will be taken care of. When I pull one of my guitars out of the case at a gig, it says something about me as a player. I appreciate it on every level as I know most of you do as well. My hat is off to BP for building a company that we can be so proud to be associated with.

BP: It's your company that requires thanking, I swear everyday that passes I realise how great a purchase this guitar was.

You guys seem to misunderstand me the point is not why Ernie Ball is not taking the opportunity to reach a larger audience but why these websites don't realise what a great guitar this is and push for a deal.
