Just got back from the LGS - I didnt buy any guitars - they wouldnt sell me the one I wanted !

Had a great chat with Pete from Strings & Things - and the promise of an EBMM hat to replace my old D'Addario one.

Here are some pics.....

Whoever said Friday is kiddies day was right! Hordes of the little beasts everywhere! Ah well, that would have been me 25 years ago which actually is no excuse for their existence now!:D

Great to see all the Balls on the stand. Didn't get a chance to speak to anyone as stand was heaving with 'duelling guitarists' when I was there. Nice that they weren't cordoned off with 'Don't touch' signs as many were on other stands.

Apart from the Mr Horsepower pic DaveB posted, there was also a signed and cased Luke, Petrucci and Lee around the edge of the stand. All very nice!

Pleased to finally get to fondle a Y2D. I feel a wallet opening coming on!:)

Just got back myself - Saturday. Give the profile that EBMM have in the UK I wasn't expecting much but I'm eating my hat - the stand was fantasitic, big, lots of guitars to lust over and caress (rosewood axis prob topped my list).

I was also seriously impressed by the demos and especially the 'duelling' guitarists - Audience members were being invited up to swop licks with a SERIOUSLY good guitarist (don't know who he was but he's the guy sitting at the desk in one of Dave's photos. Good sense of humour too); he was playing a Pet and the audience member got a Axis p90 to duel with. All through a Line 6 Flextone. Really great fun, especially the audience guys - some were really excellent. I saw 3 chaps on the trot...each about 14-16 years old, and seriously, seriously shredding (Metallica tee-shirts etc). Guys, if you're reading this, you need to get out of the bedroom more! Made me feel like my fingers were broken.

Well done!

Steve
