As I'm sure all UK readers will know, the London Guitar Show is happening in early May.

I know that EB/MM wil be there, but is it possible to get a bit of communication going with the UK distributors via this board, to make sure we all get the best chance of seeing the guitars we are thinking of buying?

Personally I would like to see the JP LE with the gold hardware, and also the Y2D guitars in all colours. A Teal Pearl JP7 (like Ernie's latest) could also encourage early wallet opening from me!

As discussed elsewhere, it is not easy to find MMs in UK shops, so it would be great if the display at the LGS covered all models/colours that we could be about to buy.

Anyone else got anything for the wish list?

Fankyouverymuch!:)

I'll 2nd that - I am in the market, and intend to go along to the LGS in May.

As well as those Bungo mentioned I'd be happy to find an Axis SS, a LUKE (either with a piezo bridge would be great), and is the 20th anniversary silo available in the UK by then?

Good thread.

I will be going of course - I'd like to see one of each model I havent got (though that list seems to be reducing by the day :D )

Seriously though LE Silo, Anniversary Silo, Albert Lee SSS

Why not make this event the official meet up for us UK members?

BP - Do you think you can get Strings and Things to have all this cool new stuff for us to see and buy?

Sounds a good idea for a meet 'n' greet.

I must admit I usually try and go on the Friday because its a bit quieter - but I can go with the flow.

Come on BP let us know what us limeys are going to get to see!

Dave :)

Thanks for the contributions so far folks.

Do we know if anyone from Strings and Things in the UK looks at this board?

If not, could someone from EB in the US perhaps alert the relevant person/people who will be organising the London Guitar Show display to the interest being shown here?

I know - pushy bloody newbie!

I probably won't make it to the London Guitar Show this year, Strings and Things holds the fort down for us at this show. Bummer deal, really, I'd love to go to that show. However, I assure you that they will have examples of each of the new instruments on their booth -- I'll bet you can't wait to play that 20th Silo, huh Dave? :)

That's great news!

I'm sure you'd be made very welcome if you could make it over sometime.;)

Getting close now - Quick question to anyone out there who may have the answer......Will it be possible to buy any of the display Balls at the show (in any way that won't make the dealers grumpy)?:D

You'd generally have to buy it through a dealer at the show as Strings n' Things are not allowed to sell direct to end users. That said, I'm sure you'd be able to negotiate a good price at the show, as I have the past 2 years.

I'll be at the LGS this year, on both Saturday and Sunday, but I'll be working on a stand. I'm sure I'll be able to bunk off for a while to come and say hello, but you can come visit me on stand 286 that's the Nathan Sheppard stand.

I'm aiming for the Friday work permitting!

I picked up a Black Sparkle JP6 there a couple of years ago (for a very good price).

Here's hoping!!!:D

Hang on, you're scaring me now! Kiddies day? Shouldn't the little darlings be in school?

I was hoping it would be quieter on the Friday. Am I completely wrong???
