In Jack's defence, knowing where US states and capital cities are is a lot easier than European geography, given how often the borders and names of some European countries change

End result: Jason gets no new bass. Chris gets no new bass. markbass99 gets no new bass (that was another part of the deal I've simply left out in order to simplify things). Chris may get a guitar from Rex (silverburst), however, although that's entirely separate. Magnus owns Heinz and may get him later in the summer or maybe early 2010, not sure yet. I get the Dargie Bongo H fiver in a few weeks.

markbass99 would like to clear up one detail of this transaction that nobody knows about. markbass99 was very unhappy that he was not going to get a Dargie and that Jack was going to have world Dargie domination so he got on the phone to BP and complained. Being the great guy that he is, BP took pity on markbass99 and all the other little people that are Dargie-less and created the Dargie 2 series. He told markbass99 that the new Dargies would have color shifting paint and ebony boards and all of a sudden the older Dargies lost a little bit of that gleam and markbass99 was at peace again. And markbass99 gets to keep his Blue Dawn Bongo which is a good thing too.

I'm glad Jack wrote all of that out because I'm too tired after moving giant rocks from one side of my yard to the other. One of the Sisyphean rewards I got for NOT getting a bass in return.

Addendum: If I meet up with Magnus, it means that I'll be able to play Heinz at a blues jam instead of packing my Ashbory dogbone rubber band bass I was planning on throwing in my luggage. So, if my cunning plan works, I'll get to play Heinz--on foreign soil, even.

But, there are some details still left to arrange. I think we're all a little whore'd out, really.
