Long-time Drool-er, First time Poster

Hello all, I've been in an out of this forum for a few months (just to look at pictures, mostly ), and I am finally making my first post. Before I begin, isn't this one of the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?

(from a music store in the UK, I believe)

Well, this is what I want, but my usual music outlets are reluctant to let me have it. First, Musiciansfriend. I have been doing business with them for over 3 years now and when I inquired about getting a Pacific Blue Burst Stingray 5, they said they couldn't do it, and I could only order from the color selection listed on the website

Then I go to Guitar Center, where again, I have been buying basses for a while and asked if they could order one to the store. They told me they could, but gave me a 7-month time frame and quoted me a ridiculous price.

Any-who, being that I started a new job and always lusted for a ray-ray, I wanted to treat myself to a new-job gift. Well, rant over, lol, I am going to contact MM Customer service to see if I can order direct without going through these dealers.

Rizzo, good advice on the dealers above - especially since EBMM doesn't sell instruments direct.

Try Bass Central, Pete DuBaldo (at Dubaldo's Music) or The Perfect Bass. You might just find your bass!

Definitely give Pete Dubaldo a call. I ordered a bass through him at the end of January and got an expected delivery date of April from the factory...got a pretty good price too.

Yeah i think pete dubaldo visits this forum, he should be able to get one for you, after all he's a musicman fan too

Welcome to here and too bad about the bumm steers, but I'm sure EBMM customer service will get you on a good track ... if I was "south of the line", I'd try Bass Central or Bass Northwest for a special order and Pacific Blue Burst is a fine choice for an SR5 .... also, word around here is that Pete Dubaldo is an ace retailer who'll take good care of you ...I almost had one myself a few yrs ago, w/abalone, but I took ill and lost my paycheck, so had to cancel but since acquired 2 others ... never quit having the Sr5 fever, it's great fun eh?
