Hello all,

I wanted to get your experiences regarding ebmm guitar wait times once a guitar is ordered. It is stated on the website that guitars are built within 90 days of receiving the order.
I ordered an EBMM JP 12 7 string 2 weeks ago and was told by my local dealer (Long-Mcquade) that they spoke to their rep at Ernie Ball and the ETA on recieve my guitar order will be around Nov 2012.
To put it lightly, I was a bit shocked at the wait time.
For all who have ordered EBMM guitars, what was the usual wait times to get your order?
I don't mind waiting for this AWESOME guitar and I have waited this long or longer for Boutique custom guitars (have a Strictly 7 Solar 7 guitar on order - 5 months and counting), but for a production guitar from a well known maker, is this the norm or a little longer than usual.
In the mean time, I'm happily playing my 2012 Blue pearl EBMM JP6 Standard (loaded), which got my GASing for the 7 string in the first place :D

Thanks for your input

RG

Hello and welcome

I had to wait 6 months for my Morse (a standard one without any options). That's the price you have to pay for quality !
The EBMM are mostly built by order.

Thanks, fbecir for the reply
Sometimes I wish my Local dealer had more EBMMs in stock so I wouldn't have to wait so long, but based on my current JP6 model, the wait for this guitar I feel will be very well worth it. As an added bonus, since it's my order, I'll probably be the first to play the guitar after it has left the EB factory. Can't Wait :)!!!!

I placed my order in March for a JP6 pearl redburst and was told it would be July. I got it last month since Long & McQuade already ordered that model back in Jan.

Think of it this way though, they'll be making one just for you. :)

I can't speak to the wait time, but I can say that my JP12 is WAY better than the JP6 I once had (which was an amazing guitar; not trashing the JP6, just saying the JP12 is twice as good (get it?!)). I'm sure you will love it. It's unbelievable. I seriously have a hard time putting it down, but if I don't I might not pass my thesis defense!

That's a nice positive way to think about it. :) Too bad I'm just a "no body". :p I'm sure Bulb or JP himself don't have to wait almost 6 months to get a guitar.
The wait time also gives me time to save up more funds to pay the difference when I do get it :p
Hopefully Nov 2012 is a generous ETA, I would love to have the guitar during my BDay in October :)

I was told November for my BFR I ordered last week through my local dealer. I was ready to wait, because I prefer to have local customer service, esp for a guitar that expensive. Fortunately, my dealer called me today to tell me he could get a different color within two weeks, and I decided to go for it. I'd rather have tone now. BFR's are all beautiful anyway, no matter the color.
