Take a look at this, an ASS with a modified strap button. Why didn't I think of this. I could then just crane my axe up to the 14th floor office. And I could lash it down when sailing in rough waters;wouldn't want it washing ashore on the Florida coast. Also would be great anti-theft idea; chain that Axis to a pole or somethin'!

Ernie Ball Musicman Axis Super Sport | Los Angeles (Culver City) | $600

I remember when Van Halen did that to one of his guitars back in the 80s, there was an article in one of the magazines , that was obviously enamored of Ed, that wrote what a revolutionary idea it was.

Yeah going down to Home Depot and buying a screw hanger to put on a guitar is such a work of genius.

The fact that you can easily duplicate something does not mean it isn't a revolutionary idea. I can play "Happy Birthday".....but I didn't write it!!

Or, look beyond the strap.... rings I suppose you'd call them and consider the fact that it's an ASS for $600 ! It's a bit tatty but surely that's a deal ?

Ed puts those eyehooks on most of his stage guitars.. including his Music Mans. I have seen lots of Axis' with those added...

Do you know, I might consider that myself - I nearly dropped my ball this week when the strap fell off:eek:

I have seen this before with EVH and Zakk Wylde and a couple of other players. Personally, I use the EBMM strap locks. To each his own.

Heck - I think I'm going to have to go into business and offer the "active performer guitar strap set". Two chrome plated ring screws and a metal-reinforced strap with chrome plated steel spring clips on both ends.
