Lefty Ernie Ball Silhouette Special Left Haned (Strat) - (item 110156978806 end time Aug-11-07 14:00:38 PDT)
Silhouette_2.jpg

I was so stoked on bidding on this stunner, was going to do some swapping with my Saphire Black and have 2 completley awesome Silos... but it jumped up from 600 to 800 alot earlier today (my highest bid), and ended at 1,600, that is insanley high for a 9 year old guitar... in fact significantly higher than what I bought my Silo for new. Anyone want to clarify why it went so high...It can't be the EMG's can it???

If the market for a Silo is that high I am going to sell mine once my ASS gets here and wait for the LE 08.

Yea I would be confused too, while EMG are not cheap and it looks like a good install job, I dont think used Silos usually go for that much maybe it was just the combo of EMG original pups included, being a lefty and an over zealous bidder that really wanted the axe, that is the life on the bay:)

Yeh I geuss it is suply and demand but any desperate lefty can go to Drumcityguitarland and see that the exact combo(minus the emg's) brand new is less than that. No offense to those EMG's as I always liked the look of them but I was pretty sure I would be swapping them back to the heavenly stock pups anyway.

And Marty, I too am pissed I missed the Dargies as well...I would have ordered a Silo Special and it would have had the only left handed one in existince (at least I think) as everyone ordered Lefty Lukes. Oh well there's always the yearly LE's and fingeres crossed, knock on wood Silo Special BFR's

Actually great spot!! It is a 6 screw trem so it might possibly be a non MusicMan part, I don't know when they switched but I much prefer the more modern 2 screw.... So yes I am actually very relieved that I didn't even pay 800 for it. Once I get my ASS in Nov I will be able to hold off for an LE Silo in March-ish.

It's the Rosewood model.... I am putting the down payment on it next week!! It is one of the most orgasmic necks I have ever felt, blind faith on the sound because I played it upside down really quietly as I only can play power chords and simple penatonic scales upside down haha.... I know it will be great though.

I didn't even get to try one out before I bought mine...I just always knew I wanted one based on hearing others play one...so I found a lefty at DrumCity Guitarland. When I finally got it in my hands...it exceeded my expectations!

All I've read about the Rosewood versions on here is how awesome they are (especially the neck). Rosewood or not...they have serious balls, and tone for days....very versatile.

Looking forward to the pics when you get it!

Wow what was the color? 1200 is insane, that's still more than what I payed for my Silo brand new, geuss I got a good price. It is a great guitar and I geuss more lefties are coming around and realizing there is a guitar world outside of a Strat and black Ibanez(now if they only realized they could order to their specs for less than the current used price). I love mine so much that I don't even have GAS for a Luke!
