this has given me an idea... i think we need the official forum "pass me around" bass. a bass that, as the name implies, gets passed around all the time. but there would be a few rules:
1) the bass would have to have a set, "cheap" price that NEVER changes
2) must be sold to someone else on the forum within 30 days at the same price
3) the new, temporary, "owner" must donate $30 to CLB upon receiving the bass
this way u essentially rent the bass for ~ $1/day and a good organization gets a mini donation per month. maybe we could have multiple basses involved to keep things moving and fun
that's a rough idea... but u get the jist. what u guys think?

I'm definitely interested in having a forum pass-around bass, or for some sort of temporary trade. It would be great for members to be able to get to get to know certain models they wouldn't normally get the experience to spend time with outside of a music store.

I see problems developing when someone decides to eBay the pass-around bass or it gets destroyed in a fire or.....
