Hi All you lucky black sparkle owners!!!

After having seen, Oh yeah and played :) Steve Lukathers Black sparkle!

I have decited to paint my Harley in black sparkle!!
But as you all know, black sparkle is not just black sparkle so!!!
I hope you'll either post or mail me some nice high res pics of your black sparkle guitars, showing the paint job clearly, for me to copy on to my Harley???

And if anyone know's the flake size used, I would really appreciate that info too!!!

Thanks!!!!

It's pretty much automotive paint that they use. The Black Sparkle on Lukes, Luke, is the older big fleck.

CooL guys!!

Thanks a lot!!
Please just keep'em coming :)

Yes! I'm sure you are right Glenn. It has to be something like the old bigger flakes they used, cos it really looks rough, but AWSOME!!
But it's fantastic, the way the color of the light and things around gets reflected.. Clearly seen on your Asis, VinSun!
And looking at Shredder's petrucci, it looks like the flakes are not evenly layed out, but in small clutters, Am I right??
And I see! it's almost impossible to get a good shot of it, Like in your pic Birno, there the flakes looks more even layed than on the Axis and Petrucci!!
Hmmmmm!!! How come I never got around to get my hands on a Black Sparkle Luke???HA HA HA HA!!
But I got a regular black Luke, so if I get the Harley to look right, I'm quite tempted to do the same with my black baby :) but I'm going to let the Harley be the testbench.. Cos I'm not willing to F'up my LukeBaby :)

Actually they use polyester paint (it's a better paint for wood), which is also cool cos it will keep looking good for like "always "HA HA" Not like the old Nitro celulose used in the old days, which will crack and fade in time. (old or custom shop Fender's)

Thanks again guys!!!!!

1206day, NP man glad to help. If you wanted to get your Luke repainted there are places that do that sort of thing. Though you might be better off finding a used Black Sparkle Luke, either in the For Sale thread or on EvilBay.

This place does guitar painting man.

De Lacugo Guitars Paint prices

P.S. Yes the sparkles are difficult to take pictures of, I know because I've got 4 of them. But no black sparkles sorry. I've always thought that black sparkle was the classy sparkle paint job.

Best of luck man, Glenn |B)
