I'm sure he'd be very welcome here, but I think he's got some mis-information in his ad. I don't believe that he is correct when he states that:

"For those that don't know it,the Mexican instruments are actually American bodies and necks that have been shipped down to the Fender Mexico plant where they are painted and assembled with Mexican series hardware. The bodies and necks are American.The labor is just cheaper down there to paint and assemble.I worked for a Fender dealer for a few years and that is how I learned this. "

I doubt this is true, especially for a 2001.

Then again, why would we care? We play U.S. made MusicMans. Let the guys over in the Fender forum worry about U.S. vs. Mexico.

i think your right fresnorich, my fedner mexican has a whole in the body if u take off the pickguard, americans dont have this... i still dont know what this hole is for, maybe to hang it while painting it? i dunno

It's to put your salsa in while you're eating your burrito & chips while you're painting it!
