Those may be earlier models of the intruder. They originally made the Intruder with the 4+2 headstock. I believe an intervention on EBMM's behalf (and rightfully so) led to Meanstreet changing it to a 3+3 headstock now.

Doesn't make it right, and it's possible the seller doesn't even know.

I reported that yesterday to eBay as an infringement as the poster on ebay states that it is an Ernie Ball Musicman guitar in the product title. They usually respond pretty quick does not appear they have in this case.

Hey guys Infringement here.

I received an email from someone telling me about these few complaints.

I just wanted to apologize if it offended anyone who owns and plays the EB Musicman.

All I was doing was trying to locate the guitar in an area where similiar looking guitars were located instead of lost in a sea of "other" guitars.

After I received word of the complaint(s) I attempted to change the title however EBAY will not allow me to revise my title description.

If EBAY pulls my auction I will revise the title and relist under the actual name only.

I would like to thank the person that gave me the heads up! You know who you are!

Headstock, Dude,

You really need to do the right thing next time. A simple email to me instead of EBAY would have cleared this up!

Besides, If you read my description correctly you would have read...

Ernie Ball Musicman "Meanstreet Intruder guitar" Not "Ernie Ball Musicman Guitar"

AND if you read the first line in my description you would have seen...

"Ernie Ball Musicman look a like guitar"

While I will agree with you on this one keep in mind where you are posting this. Don't expect a reasonable approach or response. Imagine going to the Republican or Democratic National Conventions and telling them that maybe they should calm down their enthusiasm, case in point. :D

In my opinion if a copywright infringement is suspected, EBMM should be contacted to handle it within their ranks. I know we all me well here.

Legal issues can be very costly to pursue (and be pursued), and it may actually in the long run hurt EB. And, sometimes the "things" noted as being the infringement, may very well not be, in a legal context. Besides, I think EBMM has more experience at this.

I dont really see the problem??
If he has bought it from the retailer and selling it used...how can you hassle him for the infringement (i.e. 4+2 design) it was really nothing to do with him?...

Tough call. Hard to fault a consumer just for trying to sell his/her own property, but there are copywright laws for a reason. Sometimes the owner is caught in a no-win situation.

Take for example anyone that paints their guitar in a certain red, white and black pattern. Try selling that on eBay and see what happens.

One of the problems with this is that the seller directly referenced EBMM in his title and description. This leads to confusion on the part of a possible buyer. The buyer may think they are getting an EBMM when they are not. This isn't fair to the consumer, and is definitely unfair to EBMM.

I hope he sticks around - honest guy & cool Forum name ! :)

Thanks Dizzy! To bad I don't play guitar, otherwise I would.

I just wanted to drop by to say after great consideration I pulled the relisted auction last night myself. I just felt it was the correct thing to do.

I have tryed to reach out to the manufacturer regarding the 4+2 headstock to see what the deal is but so far I have not received a response.

I may relist the guitar on Ebay again in the near future or sell locally without any reference to EB MM at all.

I apologize to anyone that had an interest in the sale for all the bs drama involved.

The underlined strikes me as mildly deceptive, and contradictory; change your language, as others have most certainly suggested.

Aside from that, it's a sweet looking axe!
