Looks like Desert Gold in a not-well-lit room. If you can get a serial number off that neck plate I can check it for sure.

Thanks Beth, but I was just making an observation based on the pics on the auction. Certainly not important enough to me to waste your time or anyone elses.

Certainly not a waste of time, Mobay! We should have weekly "Mystery Color" threads :)

It is absolutely and without a doubt Lava Pearl.

How do I know?

I can see the build code!

OK! You goaded me into it! ;)

I e-mailed the guy. Let's see if he sends me the number.

Thanks Beth!

BTW - It wasn't you that went to Hearst Castle with the girls at the open house, was it? My wife heard me say something about Beth and she told me to say hi. I was thinking that you were on the factory tour with us???

Wow, its a toughie. The seller says in their description that the retailer originally said it was a Lava Pearl (which is color code 29, nice work, Jack!) but when they compared it to the color chart (which can be deceiving at times) they thought it looked more like Desert Gold.

Jack, I challenge you to a thumb wrestling contest on this one! :D :D :D

Hey Mobay,

No, that wasn't me at Hearst Castle with you guys. I couldn't miss the once-in-a-lifetime round table discussion with Sterling and all those artists! I've also seen pretty much every nook and cranny of Hearst Castle in my 30 years.

The one who went on the Hearst Castle tour with the ladies was Linda Nelson, one of my favorite people at Music Man. HI LINDA!!! I'm not sure if she lurks around the forums or not, but someone from SLO will tell her I said Hello.

Aha, but I had the secret insider info on that one, eh? Nonetheless, my International Sales Girl of Intrigue, I remain ready to thumb wrestle whenever you wish and at a place of your choosing!

Good to see you around the forums, slim. How are the new digs? We really should see photos of the interior.

Well, the guy still thinks the bass is DG so I got him to send me the serial number. He says it's 10116. If you could check that and let me know. Thanks in advance.

(I still say it's Lava Pearl. He thinks GC put the wrong tag on it.)
