Help! Low E string making a pinging sound when picked

I just bought a new pack of strings and I’m new to playing guitar however I’ve changed strings before. The problem is that the low E string makes the weird ping sound. It’s not like a fret buzz sound, but a chime like sound. I’ve put graphite in the nut and on the saddle and I’ve restrung the same string multiple times. I readjusted the string height yet nothing is changing at all. It’s continues to ring no matter what. What do I do?

Can you make a video or recording of it?
Is it only the open string, or specific fretted notes, or no matter where you play on the string?
Is this noise coming through the amp or can you hear it unplugged?
If it's only coming through the amp, what kind of tone are you using?

Try changing the string for another one. If the problem goes away it was a bad string (very rare, but can happen). If the problem stays, it's a guitar problem. Grab a screwdriver and/or allen wrench and make sure no screws are loose and rattling, especially saddle screws.
