Just noticed Lucious popping up on a forthcoming tribute album to the Beatles, called 'Butchering the Beatles', with appearances by a number of well-known names.

He's on 'Taxman' - who may be knocking on his door following the success of Toto's latest album and tour I guess :D

Is this a new/old track? It would be interesting to hear Lucious' recollections of the recording session.

Here's the press release:

A few of these will be interesting to hear! :D

Ah I love Taxman, that's like one of my favorite Beatles songs. Can't wait to hear Lukes version, should be just as awesome!!

Hey guys,
Well.. haha My old pal Bob Kulick produces all these tribute records and they are fun and made in that spirit. I have done several with him, my fave being the Pink Floyd tribute we did a few years back. I did Shine on you crazy diamond..anyway, I did this last one where they did semi "metal " versions of Beatles songs. Dangerous territory i realize but it was fun and as George was an old friend I did his tune. I tried not to replicate the real one in anyway and I did it in an hour so.. I dont remember that much but there are some GREAT players on the CD and it has some very interesting arrangemenets. Staunch beatle fans will probably hate it but hey.. music CAN be fun sometimes and not just about $$ and staying "true to the orriginal". You cant beat the originals ever but many people have had there own takes on Beatle songs. They are timeless and really do work in any style cause the raw songs are just beyond great.
When does this come out or has it???
I am off to LA to hit the road again tommorow. I love it in the desert.
See all you guys soon
Luke

I swear Luke must know how to play every cool tune ever written.

Any guitar playing beatles fan should really give a listen to Laurence Juber's LJ PLAYS THE BEATLES...this guys solo guitar arrangements almost defy description.
