So, I saw Toto tonight at the Royal Oak Music Theatre, Royal Oak, MI. It was my first Toto show. Man, let me tell you...those guys are master entertainers! I had a blast!

Didn't get to chat with Lucious after the end of the show, that part was for backstage pass holders. Oh well... Anyway, I loved it--every minute of it. Lucious is well...you know...bad-ass! Lucious, if you read this, thanks, man, for the great show! Loved every minute of it!

Here are the best of my lousy pics from the show. Seeing Lucious and a quilty Ruby Burst BFR Luke made me excited for my Ruby F-1! Gorgeous color! If you have any second thoughts about ordering Ruby, don't feel bad. It's killer! My pics suck. So, you're not going to get a good idea of how fantastic the color is. Of course, I saw the old stand-bys, the Black Sparkle, the Dargie, the BFR proto. No Rad Red Luke.

Let me just say that I'm so glad that Toto played a date near me! Man, I hope they get to come back sometime soon!

Okay...next up SM with Deep Purple later this month. Then, JP with DT in mid-August! Woohoo! The EBMM guitar players are coming through Detroit in force.

I wonder which EBMM artists will be sitting on their butts at home in October. Looks like JP will be busy. No October dates listed on SL.net. Don't see any Morse dates scheduled. Don't see any AL dates in October. TL.com doesn't show any Tony Levin commitments in October. Don't see anything past July on davelarue.com. Hmmm....

The red rad had a wiring problem. A friend of mine who saw Toto in Germany, told us that the red rad was out!

Lucious is my hero, I understand what you told us. I saw Toto three times, and they kicked my ass every time!!

Well, Leland Sklar has always looked like that. Maybe, he wasn't quite so grey, but he has looked like that for years. Plus, he's not really in Toto. He's just filling in for the injured Mike Porcaro.

I also saw them in this tour for the first time and I agree 100%, those guys are awesome! It took me 2 hours to get to the gig and 2 hrs to go back and it was really worth it.

I wasn't very much into Luke/Toto, but I spent a whole month listening to their music before the day of the show and now I'm hooked.

One of these day they'll come to Texas. If they can play HOB in Chicago then they should be able to play the Dallas HOB.

Come on Lucious I know we have a lot of Redknecks down here, but you'd be doin it for the real fans...

Glad you had fun. The rad Red took a header and I cracked the neck and body.. a bummer as it was a fave but I am brewaking in the new ones and they are all great.
Thanks for comin and yeah we are gonna be in and around you guys in the coming future. I have my hands full this year and my solo record comes next year but we shoall hopefully make a cool Texas run. Its way overdue!
