Does any one know if the springs on the 'Floyd' bridges of the Luke 1 reissue and the Axis guitars are the same tension. AJ, maybe you can answer this one?
To be more specific, I have a 2004 axis, (recently down routed for the recessed floyd,
), and a 2012, and 2013 Luke 1 reissue. Seems the tension on the Axis springs is more stiff than those on the L1 Reissues. Perhaps it's just that the springs on the axis have had less use due to the trem being decked for 11 years and are still "factory stiff".
I suspect it may be the case that the spring tension of the axis will eventually ease somewhat, but it would be nice to get a definitive answer and replace them if they are in fact different.
