Luke 3 electronic grounding

Hi,
I was tighten the input jack when I noticed the lose wire. I think It could be some grounding wire but were should It go?

Hey! Love that colour Luke!

The ground wire is there to make contact with the cover plate (metal), so it forms a fully shielded cavity. Pull it slightly on top of the wood, so it rests between the wood and cavity plate.

Mine went under the cover plate. I assume that is correct. I have no issues. I have the same guitar.

Exactly!
That's the same on my Luke III.

Yeah, both my Valentines are that way-- just hook the wire into the screw hole so that when you screw the cover back down, the wire is
making contact with the screw and the plate.

Yep! My Luke III had it at the exact same place. That make sure it stays in place, and also it won't cause the cavity plate to bulge out when it's next to a screw hole.
