Help! Luke 3 Volume Taper

Hi all, long time no chat here, but I just bought a 2023 L3 HH and I love it all except the volume taper.
Wondering if anyone has found a solution to making it more linear?
On all my passive guitars, I'm able to add a treble bleed to the volume pots to get more of a linear taper.

I tried adjusting the internal pots, but nothing affects the taper.

Also, anyone here have a schematic for the L3?

I did some experimenting with R’s and C’s and came up with a solution that seems to work pretty well. I ended up putting a 2.2k ohm resistor across the volume pot and it helps to make the volume taper much more linear.

I may do this someday, as I don't find the Luke III turns down as well as others do, despite the preamp.

I just find it doesn't retain the highs when turning down, which is what a "treble bleed" does (it's a bad name, as it's not "bleeding" treble at all LOL)

I can't say I have that issue. The highs are fine on mine, I just wish the taper were more subtle as you roll the volume down.

I can relate to beej, but for sure don't have any issues with highs. It can not be. The pickups see constant 499K resistor all the time. The volume is adjusted within the buffer section. I of course don't know the schematics of the circuit, but I can not imagine it was designed with such a flaw.

Yeah, in this case it’s really not a treble bleed issue, it’s the way the volume drops off too soon. With a linear taper you have more range to work with. The addition of the R did that for me.

Interesting, because my volume taper is fine, but I do lose some treble as I turn down.

Mine's a LIII with Transition pickups.
