Thanks! Luke III just arrived! Had to come home during lunch to make sure it wasn't sitting outside all day. Had about 30mins with it, need to adjust the spring tension at the back since the bridge is diving forward at the moment, but it stays in tune.

The neck is awesome, feels great and plays quick! Pickup selector is still a little stiff for my liking and I am finding that the unfinished neck is very dry at the moment. Must have dryed up a lot during transport, any recommendations on what I should use to oil the neck a little?

Use either wonder wipe fretboard conditioner or lemon oil on the rosewood neck....

Congrats - fine choice!!!!

Yes it's personal preference on the bridge thing. I prefer to set mine floating so the G string will go up around 1.5 steps if I pull the bridge back flush to the body. I like to indulge, and occasionally do what Luke does, and play a harmonic, then slam my fist on the back of the bridge, pushing it all the way back to the body. When I first got the guitar the bridge was set up flat to the body (non-floating), and contrary to the standard factory setting, which was a little dissapointing. I had to adjust the bridge and saddle heights before I could even get playing.

Also It is nice to read there's some EMG love on this thread. Many forum folk are often quick to dismiss them as substandard, as if it's some matter of fact, and not purely a personal opinion or preference.

I prefer my trem to float and just like Craiguitar I make the G string go up 1.5 steps. I also love the EMG pups in my koa Luke and I loved them in my Luke II. They are absolutely not substandard imo.
