Hi guys,

I have a 94 Luke I, and something strange sometimes happens. In the morning, or generally after the temperature lowered, the unfinished part of the neck gets very wet, and sticky. I never noticed something similar on any other guitar. I also have a Luke II, and there is no similar problem on this one. It happens even when the guitar stays in its case.

Did you ever experienced that on EBMM unfinished necks ?

Wet as in condensation can be felt on the neck or does it just feel sticky?

It might be the old wood oil finish needs to be stripped and resealed.

Yep, maybe time for it to be re-oiled an waxed.
I've found that a couple of times after doing this treatment, the neck is just too sticky for me, and I've had to buff it a bit with some steel wool to being back the correct lustre. That worked great. Maybe I overdid it with the oil and wax. A little goes a long way.

if it only happens with this guitar it's "possessed" - get rid of it.

well, if you wioe it down after playing then it has to be down to changes in conditions - yeah, get it re oiled - should help.
