Hey Guys,
I have an awesome Luke II Koa, but I am not a fan of the EMGs. I like the long sustain, but the tone sounds sterile to me. I only play Van Halen, and some Chickenfoot and Vai. That is it. I'm a very specialized player (that mean's I can't play other stuff
).
So, I ordered a passive humbucker for it. I chose the Bareknuckles Rebel Yell. I know, "Gee Tahlee, why didn't you go for the VHII?" The Bareknuckles is voiced for a mahagony body guitar, or at least the killer youtube videos I saw had it in a LP. So, since my Luke is all mahagony, I went for the Steve Stevens model instead of the Eddie.
Now, I need two passive single coil sized pickups, but the emgs are smaller than normal; they don't have a lower tab like a Dimarzio.
May I please have some suggestions?
Thanks!
