Forgive me for what must be a stupid question, but what is a Luke II and how is it different than a Luke? I have a Luke I bought last year, but now I'm curious what the different is.

Thanks,
Rony.

The Luke I had a floyd locking trem. Also I believe the single coils were just SA's instead of SLV's but not 100% sure about that.

The LUKE 2 has a vintage trem designed by EBMM, and uses locking tuners. Also you have a tone controll for that extra versatility, which I use all the time. Plus you can get a piezo on the Luke2, and MANY different colors to choose from :D. You should get one of these as well!!!:)

If yours has one knob, its a Luke 1, and if it has 2 knobs, its a Luke 2. That keeps it simple :D

The Luke 1 had SAV single coils, the Luke 2 has SLV I believe. Might be wrong.

Thanks, that confirms I have a Luke 2 then, I have a piezzo and tone control. Mine is the radiant red one with matching headstock just like the one Luke was holding in Guitar Magazine a little while back.

Oh, and thanks for the offer to personally inspect it for me, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to part with it, I gig almost every weekend and I need my baby! Might actually see a sneak peak of it on our website.

Nice to have you around.
Piezo Lukes are really terrific guitars.

Was in Reno a while back and the guy in the bar band at the hilton was playing a Luke 1. I almost crapped my pants.

He was a very fine player too.

Yep that's my Hamer, another sweet guitar ... the only 2 I own by the way, haven't had the need for any other guitars. But I do sense another EBMM in my future occasionally, just not sure what ... probably something more strat-like.
