Question Luke III dimensions

I'm considering purchasing the Luke III HSS. Does anyone know the lower bout width and the guitar's approx. weight? They say it's larger than the II, but when I checked the MM website the dimensions shown are the same for both guitars, around 12 & 3/16s".

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I have both guitars and as best as I can tell they seem the same size. I was going to say 12 1/4", but I didn't want to scratch a guitar, so I was holding the tape above it. The controls are in the same locations and everything seems so similar.

I would recommend the Luke III. The transition pickups are so rich and lush. They sound absolutely wonderful. The L III is my favorite model. It is so comfortable to play.

The LIII body is definitely bigger over all than the Luke 1 & 2. It does feel different but not 'better' as such. Just a different vibe. The neck feels instantly familiar to Luke owners though. It's slightly heavier which is worth bearing in mind for long gigs etc. I'm liking the transitions too, but I'll always gravitate back to the EMG's as my comfort zone. Personal preference.

Supposedly the Luke III is 3% larger... Transitions are nice but EMGs are also nice, they have a huge dynamic range.
