Hi all

Just a quick question.

Are the HH pups in the Albert Lee different to those in the Luke III?

Reason being - I'd eventually like another HH guitar from EBMM but I wanted to know what the differences would be.

Cheers!

Yes they are indeed different. The LIII pickups are DiMarzio "Transition" pickups. The AL HH, are custom DiMarzios. Somebody help me out here - are they the same as the Axis pickups but with a cover?

Al HH , Axis and Reflex are all the same (I think :))

That is my understanding as well but I can tell you from owning all three, they all sound different due to the woods and build involved.

Haven't played a Luke HH yet but really want to, love the Luke neck profile.

Sound good to me. The HH alder/maple with rosewood board should sound quite different on the Luke III I reckon, despite pup differences.
