Are these pups mounted directly into body ala Axis, or on rings like the Annivarsary Silo? Can't quite make out... [hoping for the former!]

Edit - viewed the FB pics and looks like they're direct mount - no rings! Hooray!

I was thinking of getting something "different" for my next purchase...judging by the L-III Prototype, I'll be able to do that AND still get a "Luke"! Win Win situation. Kudos to BP, EBMM and Lucious!

I was at the concert last night, the L3 sounded GREAT...Beefier and with more mids. On some tracks Luke had the exact sound of the Toto IV album...not bad achieving that sound live!

Wow looks awesome, looks like i've found my next purchase, l've been really digging the Dual humbucker sound for quite a while, and i've been missing my Lukes.

Scottie.

Dual humbuckers means more room to dig in with a pick. It also makes four finger 'pinching' easier too, for my clumsy fingers anyway [that currently hit the middle single coil on my Luke], all with no scratch plate on that sexy contoured body...

Want.

Badly.

[If only they still did recessed neck plates - I'd be in heaven :D]

Very cool. Olive Gold is one of my favorite colors as well. My Olive Gold Silo with Rosewood neck is probably the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen. It's easily the most beautiful solid color guitar I've ever seen.

It might just be the pics but the body looks a little bigger? Also will it have a 3 way or 5 way pup selector?

2H Luke sounds pretty good to me. Alot of his great tones come from the singles on the Luke 2 though so I guess this is another tool and not a replacement.

Any changes in the wood type maybe!? Still alder in the body or maybe ,beacause he's stocked with DiMarzios humbuckers, Mahogany?
