Luke Owners w/ stainless frets

ah yes... can't wait- BUT i saw some members waiting like 200 something days from when the run was announced- maybe I misread, but that would be a killer.

My wait was right at that 200 day mark, but many are waiting significantly longer, so you got near-instant gratification. It's an awesome guitar!

Cool. Can't wait. I played one at Sam Ash a while back and it immediately felt good- not sure why I didn't buy it- well it wasn;t cheap- but I'm glad I'm getting this version. Have wanted a MM for a long time.

Which pickup config did you end up ordering?

HH - there weren't many HSS's around, but I just felt more comfortable with HH anyhow. I've never had a HSS before... but I did read great things about them here in the forum. What I did get is a painted headstock. I really liked the look of it with that dark fretboard. So, we shall see!

The Transitions are amazing! You'll love the HH. And the ebony fretboard is wonderful.

The only thing that I'm a little apprehensive about is no markers on the fretboard. But I'm sure like most everyone I'll just used to it. But I really think I'm going to be a little lost.

You'll be surprised how much you look at the top of the fb rather than the front. At least I was. No markers on the front is a non issue for me.

Do you play sitting down mostly? I do. It seems that I never look at the edge markers, but I really have never paid attention. We'll see. I'm going to have to make it work. I think I mentioned it else where if worse came to worse I could put some markers on the board with vinyl since I have a sign shop. Could get pretty creative with it- of course I'd rather not...

Yes - sitting down most of the time. I think you'll adapt just fine. I was concerned as well. It's a small adjustment. You will be blown away at how the combination of roasted maple, ebony board and stainless frets works together. So smooth. Pure bliss.

I hadn't thought about it, but I guess if I was trying to cop a lead part from a video of another player, it could be frustrating if THEY had a plain fretboard! :)

By the way I did purchase a schecter not too long ago- it has the ebony board and stainless, so I do know that combo. And really do like that guitar- but I have never picked up a guitar and immediate felt connected like when I did briefly in San ash a year or two ago with the Luke. I have small hands so I think that may have something to do with it. I've also been on a huge VHalen kick and small hands do not help! I'm selling a PRS custom 24 to fund this one. I don't think I'm much of a prs guy anymore. There's no arm cut and the way it sits is not as comfortable as my schecter. I always wanted a shredder guitar with a floyd so hence that purchase. It's really been nice and fun. Can't wait to try the MM trem.

Yes I've seen those before. Pretty sweet. Kind of a cool way to "make it your own" too.
